Rebecca Long
My work is shaped by the places around me, imagination, and personal reflections. I was born and raised in Southeast Alaska, where the beauty of the natural world first awakened my love for art. Surrounded by the mountains, forests, and the ever-changing waters of the Lynn Canal in Alaska's Inside Passage, I developed a deep appreciation for the colors, textures, and patterns found in creation.
My journey as an artist began with drawing and traditional painting, providing a strong foundation in composition, color, and design. Over time, my creative journey led me to acrylic fluid art, where I discovered a medium that allows both intention and spontaneity to work together.
Today I live in Northeastern Washington, where the changing seasons continue to inspire my work. I am especially drawn to the richness of color found woven throughout creation - from quiet earth tones to vibrant skies and flowing water. Each painting explores movement, light and the beauty I find in the world around me.
A New Chapter
Lady Reb Studio grew from my desire to establish a dedicated space for my artwork. It is where I can continue exploring different mediums, develop new ideas, and share the work that comes from that process.
Why Fluid Acrylics
I'm especially drawn to fluid acrylics because the paint has a life of its own. I can guide it, but I can't completely control it. That balance between intention and discovery is a large part of what I love about the process.
I use professional-grade paints and carefully selected finishing products, giving each painting the attention it deserves from creation to completion.
